Owners often compare their cars to people giving them names and accusing them of expressing emotions, but Lamborghini, as it often does, has taken it to the next level. That’s because the Lamborghini Centenario has been caught doing the most human thing imaginable: lying about its weight. And that’s led to a recall of the Ferrucio Lamborghini-celebrating supercar.

In fact, two of the VW Group’s supercar makers have had a rough day with both Porsche and Lamborghini recalling cars in the US. While one is hilariously minor, the other sounds kind of terrifying.

First, Porsche recalls the 918 Spyder for a problem with the control arm that may cause them to crack with age and eventually fail at high speed, which experts tell me is exactly when you don’t want major components to fail.

Not to be outdone, though, Lamborghini is recalling 11 Centenarios in the US for, get this, indicating the wrong gross vehicle weight rating.

Lamborghini has already started replacing the labels, but we’re mostly impressed that the Italians aren’t the ones with the reliability issue this time.

As for Porsche, they’ll also be calling the owners of the 305 affected 918s and bringing them in to replace the control arms.

Fortunately, no crashes or injuries have been reported as a result of either issue. But, of course, there wouldn’t would there because no one ever drives these supercars. They just pose next to them.
